Project III : Divorce & Failed Relationships
The thinking skill for Project III was reasoning. I created a product combining English and Art. The topic I explored was divorce and failed relationship. The product I created was a magazine.
For Project III, I combined elements from English and Art to create a magazine. The magazine I created includes articles about divorce and failed relationships. The articles include:
- "The Five Stages of Divorce" - "Coping With Divorce Through Music" - "The Psychological Impact of Divorce on Children" - "Attraction v.s. Choice" The English portion of my product are the articles. I wrote four articles explaining the reasoning behind each of the topics I researched. I incorporated quotes from my research to help build reasoning, as well as looking into the psychology of love and relationships. |

The Art portion of my is the magazine cover. I used multiple photo editing applications to create a cover that represented the feelings of divorce and failed relationships. The grey-blue sky represents the gloomy, negative feelings associated with divorce. The brown, dead grass is a symbol of a relationship that has died-out. Once green and thriving, the grass dies overtime as the conditions become worse. The dead petals represent the flowers often used in the ceremony or as decorations in weddings. Much like the grass, the flowers are wilting overtime. These two things represent the outcome that can occur if a relationships goes down the road of divorce. The two hills in the background represent the different parts of relationships. The rocky hill symbolizes the struggles a couple may face when trying to maintain or build back a healthy relationship. The flowery hill represents the happy and positive feelings of being in a relationship.
